Brita renamed the cartridge from LongLast+ to Elite around 2023, but the chemistry and certification did not change. You will see both names on shelves through 2026 as packaging cycles through. What the Brita Elite actually is

The Elite is a replacement cartridge that fits Brita's standard pitcher line — Tahoe, Everyday, Stream, Grand, and the slim profiles built for fridge doors. It stacks a pleated mechanical pre-filter on the inlet, an activated carbon block for chlorine and organic compounds, and an ion-exchange resin for dissolved metals. There is no fluoride media, no PFAS-targeting media, and no reverse osmosis membrane. Cartridge life is 120 gallons or six months — roughly three times the cycle of the older Standard Brita and several times a ZeroWater cartridge.

The certification scope, named honestly
