Our take
Brita's Elite filter (formerly Longlast+) is one of the few mass-market pitcher filters that holds NSF/ANSI P473 certification for PFAS reduction. The manufacturer specifies approximately 120 gallons per filter (the brand estimates ~6 months for a 2-person household), roughly 3x the published filter life of the standard Brita Standard line. The pitcher is plastic — a documented trade-off versus glass-housed alternatives — but per-gallon filtered cost is the lowest in this directory.
